The interactive and educational exhibition “Travelling Bricks” by LEGO® bricks, on “History of travel”, has come to Cyprus for the first time!
The exhibition opened on 3 February, 2017 at ANNEX 3, next to The Mall of Cyprus. The duration of the exhibition is now extended until the 2nd of April, in response to high demand.
Thousands of visitors of all ages have so far explored the exciting exhibition which presents the history of transportation, throughout the centuries, and it is entirely made of over 500,000 LEGO® bricks. More than 120 models of some of the most interesting and historical means of transportation, created in one year by over 20 LEGO® Certified Professional Artists, impress visitors with their details and dimensions. These include the “Titanic” which is over 7 meters long, a 3-meter-long Zeppelin, a 3-meter-tall sky rocket and a 3-meter-long Carl Sagan spaceship.
The exhibition, which appeals not just to the children but also to adults of all ages, can also be a great venue to celebrate a birthday, since it includes and a fun, interactive area which can host unforgettable kids’ parties. The interactive area brings together the educational and creative sides of the famous bricks, so that children can learn and enjoy at the same time, playing creatively with over 200,000 bricks and making their own LEGO® constructions. Also available are four grafitti walls, a special area with Duplo bricks for children under 3 years, as well as four screens with entertaining and educational videos presenting the history of LEGO®.
Parents can enjoy an exclusive range of premium coffees and herbal teas at the coffee shop, while fans of LEGO® can purchase the famous bricks from the exhibition’s shop which also stocks the limited-edition BATMAN LEGO® from the blockbuster “The LEGO® Batman movie”.
The exhibition is presented by Dixan and organized by Moonlight Show Productions, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
